Landon was baptized at Saint James just before leaving for boot camp. The following is an excerpt from a letter he wrote to Ashleigh, his wife, who is still here and active at Saint James. I just got back from chapel! Church is very inspiring for me!! I think and pray for you and the baby constantly!! When I go to church I get all emotional! Today was awesome, the service was very moving for me!! I've tried my best to stick with the promise I made before boot camp (baptized)! I am usually pretty shy about my spiritualness, especially around a bunch of guys, but since the baptism and me being here without you, I've been relying on Christ for my strength to make it! I've said that in the past and I thought I was, but now I know I really am! Tell everyone at church THANK YOU for the opportunity they gave me! It really has changed me! |
