We love children and are excited to have them as members of our community
At Saint James, children of all ages join us in our worship space.
We think children learn the best when they can watch the people around them! They also learn that they're surrounded by an entire community of people who love them exactly as they are!

Does that feel overwhelming to you? That's okay! If you're only used to a worship space that is so quiet that you can hear a pin drop, you might wonder how you'll manage your kiddo in our space.
-
Our worship center has a comfy, cozy corner stocked with books, fidgets, stuffies, and art supplies, kid-sized tables and chair, and a couch where you can take part in worship AND be involved in your child's worship experience.
-
We invite young minds to join our conversations during worship, to ask questions, and to join us in creating a worshipful space.
-
Worshipful does not have to mean quiet! No space is so sacred that the sounds of children are not welcome! At Saint James, children remind us that worship includes our WHOLE selves, not just our minds and our mouths!
-
Children are integrated into our worship services in many ways. They help create worship, run worship, lead worship, and we think their thoughts about worship matter. Not just on one special Sunday, but EVERY Sunday. Because worship is for EVERYONE!
-
We're a United Methodist Church which means that EVERYONE is invited to participate in Communion with us!
-
Our pastor is a mom and has extensive experience with neurodivergent children. You can't distract her. We promise.

Don't be overwhelmed. We've got you. Come find your community at Saint James.
