Incandescent Jesus?

Matthew tells the story of Peter, James, and John (Jesus’s followers) on a mountain with Jesus. In itself that is not all that unusual sounding. Then Jesus starts “shimmering” and talking with Moses and Elijah. No big deal until one realizes that Moses and Elijah are long dead by the time of Jesus. So what are we to make of this?
