I have spent a lifetime coming to know Thomas as the doubtful disciple, the one who demanded a sign in order to "believe." The descriptions of Thomas almost always had negative undertones (i.e. "Don't be a 'doubting Thomas!'"). Is what Thomas does in asking for a sign really bad? Does the gospel writer say that it is bad to doubt? As I am an occasional skeptic myself, I want to find a comrade in Thomas! This Sunday we will take a closer look at his much maligned disciple of Jesus. Join us online-only at 11am Eastern (or you can catch the recording later if you're not available then).
