Have you ever thought about that phrase, "Watch your language?" How can you watch your language when it's floating invisibly through the air? Of course, the warning has more to do with the choice of our more colorful metaphors than with seeing what we're saying. Still, in the early beginnings of church, one of the biggest barriers was people who didn't speak the same language. So 50 days after Resurrection, the Spirit flowed and people could hear what others were saying. With this, church (literally "the gathering") was born.
