Saint James is committed to ensuring that our neighbors affected by the current government shutdown have access to resources they need to thrive. We are partnering across our communities to make getting help an easy process to navigate. Your support for this important work is invaluable!

I Want to Help
There are 3 ways that you can help

1) Donate money- we use your donations to purchase food for our shutdown assistance pantry and to provide grocery and gas gift cards for our neighbors to help them make ends meet during this difficult time. Click the "Give" button on this page and select "shutdown" as your fund. All donations are tax-deductible.

2) Donate food and household necessities to our pantry- we distribute these resources to families needing assistance. Donations can be received at our church location: 5200 Fillmore St, Alexandria, VA 22311 or you can email alyssa@sjumc.net to schedule a pick-up.

3) Volunteer your time! We need help picking up and sorting donations for the pantry, processing applications for help, and delivering help to families! If you're interested in volunteering, please email alyssa@sjumc.net for more information!
