Good Friday has always had a harsh edge to it. This year with all the suffering and uneasiness in the world, Good Friday seems an opportunity to struggle with these challenges we face. What can we learn from looking at Jesus being crucified that might help us? To be honest, most of the time it is easier to turn away. Pain and suffering does not go down easily. One night, one day really, is what the church has given us to stare Death in the face and ask, "Why?" How do we deal with grief and anxiety and fear and the unexpected? It's a tall order, but this year we will ask that of Good Friday in our live-stream-only Good Friday worship at 7:00PM, Friday, April 10.
